Newest addition to my Bust Half collection. Having trouble with the Overton number for this one, would appreciate some help with the ID and grade.
Thanks
Ron

O-105, I think, primarily based on the look of the milling. It's about as late in the die wear as you get - not many more were struck from this one. VF20, maybe? Hard to say, with such a worn die.

It's only opinion, though; there ain't a lot of detail left to go on.

That, for me, makes this an interesting coin just because of how late the die state is, without any cracking or crumbling.

I know I was surprised to see no die cracks anywhere.

I think this coin is better than VF20. I would go VF25 maybe 30. Some weakness in the reverse stamping on the Eagle. Is that a minting error above the BU in PLURIBUS? The metal flows kind of weird left to right there.

VERY cool coin and a great example of an awesome coin type!

I also agree with a WAY late die usage. Man! These boys were worn out! Funny how long they used them then!

Is this the reason for the weakness of the rims?

Yes, the dies were very worn out by the time this coin was struck.
