Went into a coin store that has two distinct halves, a bullion side and a coin side. Started out on the coin side looking for Mercury dimes (one of my favorite designs), he informed me I may have more luck over in the junk silver over on the bullion side.

So over to the bullion side I go. He pulls out a tube of pretty dirty cruddy dimes and pulls one out, says, "I soaked this one earlier, let's see if we can get some of this stuff off. Do you want to try?" I figure what the heck, I'll give it a shot, so dab at it with some Q-tips, sure enough the buildup comes right off cleaning up to a pretty nice shine.

He goes back to his cash register and says, "I'll let you have this one for $5.50." I figure, that's not too bad, so we close the deal.

Walking away, I think to myself, I forgot to check what date and mintmark it was, you fool, so I pull it out to look at it and boy this thing sure is worn. I think I just got ripped off. Oh well, it wasn't a terribly expensive lesson, so I mark it up to experience.

Oh yeah, did I mention this was all in a dream? Guess I got it bad. Any other good coin dreams out there lately?

Mine always include sunken treasure, warm sunny beaches and drinks with fruit and umbrellas in them. Going to dream, dream big.

When I was younger I always dreamed of fast cars and fast woman and now I dream of taking a cruise to Alaska so boy things have changed. I've never dreamed of coins but I have awakened without an alarm clock at 3:00 AM to rush out and bid on a coin I really wanted on ebay that was ending at 3:15 AM.

My coin dreams usually involve finding a stash of coins that I either forgot that I had or were left behind by someone. They are usually some good finds as well, but then I wake up.

My coin dreams either involve finding a great haul in half dollar hunting (one time it was dozens of XF barbers and a few seateds) Or losing some of my favorite coins and looking for them.

I have coin dreams ALL the time. They usually involve me finding tons of old and valuable coins in one place. In my dreams I've found coins on the beach, on the side of the freeway, and on a trail while hiking. I always wake up disappointed because the dreams are so vivid and seem so real. A couple nights ago I was dreaming about finding coins (silver dollars and silver halves) on the side of the freeway. In the dream I said to my mom, "I know this is a dream because I'm finding all these coins." Weird.

before I was going to Winnipeg I had this dream: I was in Winnipeg, we stopped at this bank and the lady said, take as many as you want. There were these huge cubes just full of rolls about 200 in each all on the counter, every denomination, I woke up just then.

I wish I had "Coin dreams"......but I really don't....

My dreams usually involve thieves trying to break in, in the middle of the night. And a lot of "outdoor" emergency "situations"....and/or a lot of Grizzly bear attacks.
My last dream involved me trying to get our 5 year old up a tree, while a 1000 pound angry boar Grizzly was charging and about 8 feet away, while my fiancee' was throwing sticks at him ! .....
Thankfully I always wake up right before the attack would begin !

Why can't I have normal calm harmless "coin" dreams ? .. ....

Gee Eaglefoot, sounds like you should try to avoid those California commemoratives with the Bears on 'em. You apparently have "bear issues".

Hey, at least when you wake up from the bear, you have a feeling of relief. I get disappointment :(

HOLY MACKERAL ! ....... ... ... JUMPIN' GEEHOSAPHATS !

Whew ! ...... .....That scared the %#***^#@ out of me ! You shouldn't do that with my "condition" ! ....

......

Dang !.....Now I wish I had one of those though! ....

(yeah....don't know why, but I've had a lot of "wilderness nature" dreams for about 30 of my 41 years !) .....

(I "am" related to Merriweather Lewis on my Grandma's side.....maybe that has something to do with it !)..

This is a REAL picture I took by the way !
This picture was taken in the Absoraka National Forest in Wyoming by me a few years back.
I "have" had a few times where I've been closer than I wanted to be with Grizzlies !
The "potential" for an encounter with one while hiking on a wilderness trail is just ENVIGORATING ! ..... .......I do like my 44 Magnum with a 7 3/4 inch barrel....and bought it for one purpose ! ...
