I found this 1985D quarter in pocket change and thought that the IN GOD WE TRUST was really thick. What do you all think, MD or actual double die.

Don't think it's MD.

If I were a gambling man, I'd say Die Deterioration Doubling. But, I'd wait for a more experienced eye to chime in on it. I haven't learned quite enough, but I thought I'd at least give you an opinion, and test myself as well.

If I'm wrong, you'll certainly hear about it!

I'm a big cent fan, too. I have been putting off going through the dimes and nickels, (which I'm doing now), and I'm getting bored with it. Can't wait to get back to the Lincolns and Washingtons!
