After travelling throughout the Southern USA for the last week and a bit.I have a box of nails and scrap iron.
I stopped at least once a day to search any likley places.

The hilight of the trip however came from Colorado near the Utah boarder.

Wow, good job! I ordered a new detector last week, can't wait to get started. I know of 50 old miners cabins and abandon ranches that I can't wait to get to.

Good find. It looks as if this one has passed through alot of hands. Just imagine this could have fell ou of someones money pouch while traveling by wagon train 125 years.

Nice Find. Metal detecting must be exciting. Unfortunately here in Australia, more likely to find beer bottlecaps then anything else:)

I have buckets of ring pulls and bottle tops for every coin I have found. It is possible to set modern detectors to discriminate beteween this junk and the real treasures. The gready part of me makes me dig all targets just in case.

Nice. Older than anything I've found in all my years.
