I posted awhile back one of 3 silver slabbed rocks I bought from my brother that is a rock hound.
Well he picked up the balance of this estate collection of about 8500 pounds of different types of minerals and agates and such. I found 4 of this type slab off the same sampling they weight only 47 grams and there was no mine number on them. All the others are from Nevada. But it is gold and silver ore. The gold tests at over 22 kt and the silver is over sterling.

I just thought this was neat

Nope!! buy metal weight 1/2 + oz of gold maybe and little silver. I am going over my brothers tomorrow to help him try to sort some of the boxes of rock. 14 truck loads!! The people had past away and the house went to sale the bank sold the whole house as is. Just one big pile of junk.. The guy that bought it sold all the rock just to get it out, it may take a month just to find out whats there. All of the mine samples are wild!. 8 pound raw copper formations, silver and now gold.

My brother just gave my son a broken part of a Saber tooth that is petrified ...Just a lot of neat stuff

Out of curiosity, how much did your brother pay for that 8500 pound lot of rocks/minerals?

Neato. I just watched a show on gold and how it was formed. They talked about how the gold and silver were mixed together like your samples. I'm not a rock hound, but it does sound interesting.
