This is the 2nd rarest Aust Penny that circulated.
What a find!
Mintage is 117000.
A shame it has the rim damage, but I'd still guesstimate that it's at least VF or better, but I'm not much chop at grading as my eye sight's a bit suspect.
The latest CV's:
VG $165 F $275 VF $425 EF $2,450 aUNC $8,250 Unc $17,500
Ch.Unc $35,000 Gem $65,000 Pf $325,000
1930 is the rarest, with 1946 the 3rd rarest. You are one lucky guy!

life is a mystery to be lived not a problem to be solved

bags of military items I buy. The attached photo is one penny found in a group of 12 others with different dates. This 1925 is the best condition. Would like your input on it. Used a flash to show all the details of the coin and of course the color is a bit off as it is brown. Thank you kindly for information. GMay
