I'm fortunate enough to attend about one major coin show per month. As such, I get to see a variety of coins and speak with some unique characters. At today's show I first saw an impressive Peace dollar for only $13. I pointed out the dollar to the dealer, and the price then became $23. Oh well, I'm not going to beat someone out of ten dollars if it was a mistake. I then went to purchase a gold eagle. I mentioned to the dealer how volatile the gold market has been of late. He then proceeded to give me a 10 minute lecture on world politics and how it effects the price of gold. Don't know why, but this just didn't set well with me, and I decided not to purchase the coin after all.
