One of the banks has a stack of un opened ones which run from E53697001C to E53697800C, series 2006 from the Richmond Fed.
Anyone have a quick way of identifying the numbers? I also do not know if there are any star notes in this yet. I have to decide by tomorrow if I want to buy it and search on my own or else this will be opened by the bank on Friday. Also is there a particular stack that would be worth while holding?
I have come up with Bookends 53697053 53697153 etc to 53697953 Also 53697536
Anything special with 53697635 or 53697697 53697777 53697111 TO 53697999 etc (last 3 digits)
I look forward to replies. Thanks Peace

Your first group is promising but I don't think so on the second group. It's worth a shot and you may get some stars.

Not seeing anything special. However if my math is right those should be position D2. If you do end up getting them can you look at the top right serials for signs of ink running low. I have noticed that a lot of notes from the E...C block have positions that are running low on ink. Not really anything valuable more of a personal project thing. Included below is an example of what I am talking about. The top serial is the upper right the bottom is the lower left serial. If you compare the ones, the zeros especially you will notice the first numbers pictured are weaker in appearence than the ones on the bottom.

Thanks Gent and Siuol
I decided to buy it and go over it this weekend leisurely as it would be my first such project.
Siuol, do you see anything with the numbers other than the bookends? TIA
Peace

I'm not really coming up with anything of note that you haven't already commented on. Hopefully you will find some worthwhile stuff. Otherwise you can just spend them out. Thats the part I love best about money. You can buy a bunch, search it, and spend the stuff that you don't want .

There were no stars in this pile. I took out the notes B4 and after the bookends. I also came across 2 notes which are off center. They were 53697101 and 199. Is there any value to this? (The front and back are shifted pointing towards the right bottom).
Also, going back to my star notes which are at the end of the 100 stack - Should I keep the stack or just the stars and the bookend?
Thank you both for your inputs.
Peace

I would keep the stars and the book ends and set the rest free.

Also were the ones position D2 and did you notice any weakness to the either serial number?

Siuol, I did not see any weakness at all. Then again I am new and could have missed things. However, I did notice that some notes had some "hair line" green and red coloring about ½ inch long in diff spots that is imbedded in the paper.
