was wondering if someone knew off hand what the dimensions of a $25 box of pennies was. (LxWxH)

and will it fit in a USPS Medium flat rate box

i happen to have one laying around the dimensions are

8 1/2 inches long
4 inches wide
3 1/4 tall

Not sure how big the flat rate boxes are

If all copper, it would weigh about 18 pounds.

Yes it fits in a USPS Medium flat rate box. That's how most of my orders come.

You can mail two of these in the medium flat rate box. I took my pennies that I sold ($50.00 face copper) and it weighed over 36 pounds. Priority mail shipping cost would have been $45.00 if I had not used the flat rate box which was $12.95 plus insurance and delivery confirmation. The post office loses big on these when we ship metals! Sincerely, John Leckrone

I absolutely LOVE flat rate boxes! They are especially good for overseas. I've sent some packages that would have been over $100 for around $45.
