I would say that the MM was removed.I have one exactly like that.

That would be the textbook example of a removed mint mark. The scrapes are quite obvious. Return policy...?

On a genuine the first 2 would be weak and mushy. The 2 on this coin is too strong to be a "real" 22 no mintmark.

It's like the guy who removed the mint mark didn't even try to be careful! The MM removal gouge goes all the way to and through the rim!

And has been mentioned the 2's are definitely wrong for the 22 Plain.

There is just no way this is an authentic 22 Plain. And shame on the dealer for selling it as that.
