well for me it starts off with the obserse of the coin on ebay,, that looks nothing like a mint one, take any coin or coin book and you can tell the difference, I knew it was not real, was trying to poke fun at it.But still not thinking it should be listed along side real currency.
Thus I made the mistake of calling it junk and political correctiveness came calling. :)
I gave back a jab about the "one mans junk another mans gold"
CRF jabbed back about proof reading, spell check, think b4 you speak.
IBGolden got in, with information on other nickle commerative coins, and just happened to have a golden token (copper) which was very nice. "one mans junk another mans gold" get it?
I jabbed at CRF, gettin joker to say it all in fun.

and schmidty............... they did use a very simular reverse to the one on ebay as well as the beaver in 1951.

when read all the way through humours post... now :)

Yeah, I "got" everything up to my post being quoted as not getting the joke.

Not being a collector of Canadian coins, (other than WWII years) I didn't realize that this design had, in fact, been used. Now that I know that, I will try and find one. I guess I should have grabbed my Krause before saying it would be a good design for a real coin!

Thanks for educating me!

Oh... I was just showing some other Sudbury tokens and didn't really follow up with watching this thread. The tokens I pictured back there are gold plated... plating on what, I never gave it much thought. I didn't wanna, you know, like... I was just providing info and sayin' don't be fooled by the gold $20 token as I've seen others have been. I had no intention of humour or anything such at the time.

I'll post a side by side of each.... momentarily.
>>> edit... Genuine(approx 1/2 oz 22kt au) at top. Sudbury gold plated token below.
