There is plenty to go around, the proof mintage is 300,000. I believe that the 1oz. American Gold Eagle usually has a proof mintage of 1/10 of that. The problem is the fact that this is the first time the US has produced a 24kt coin AND it is the first day of issue so everyone wants to get theirs on the first day available. Remember, there will also be an uncirculated version as well that will probably have an even higher mintage and lower price.

It always shows that the first few hours.... Just print the form out with the order # and keep it. Check it in a day or 2, you should be OK. I saw where ALL orders will be backordered. That is to make sure people did not try to cheat and get more than 10.....


I FINALLY got my order in around 2:30 or so....Whn I have my coins in hand, I will take back all the bad things I said about the Mint.....Until next order I guess..

yeah me too..I didn't stop at just 1 coin :) doh!

Seen where everyone was having problems with the web site, so went with Safari as my browser. Didn't even try my IE, and had now problem at all. Just thought if you were still having trouble with the site, you may want to use another browser.
