Other than what I have listed here, please check out my ebay auctions for a variety of coins, including USA gold. Search under photocoin1. Thanks.

I'm sorry if it may be a touchy subject and is really none of my business. Why are you selling off everything?

My passion for nature photography is growing and I need the cash for newer Canon equipment and to finance some trips to travel the world before I get so old I can't go. All we really have in life is our experiences and memories. Also I just can't figure out how to take this collection with me when I pass. Since I will be cremated the coins would get all scorched and the slabs would melt. Seriously though, no one in my family is interested in them but me. Better someone sell them with the knowledge to do it right. Thanks for asking Joker.

Good Luck Colin,

It has been a pleasure to do business with you.

PS I'm keeping my eye on your Large Cent on ebay.

Colin, I wish you all the best, we are losing a great member. I appreciate you interest in nature, though. One of my other passions is bird watching and I have traveled the US doing what you are preparing to do. I know you will not be disappointed but you will miss our disease. LOL

I too am sorry to see you go as I always enjoyed your posts. But, it is understandable too. Good luck with your new pursuits! Hopefully there is a photographycommunity.com board out there as nice as this one!

That is one caveat of collecting anything, I suppose. I hope one of my kids become interested, but I'm not counting on it. Seems like it would be quite tricky to create a collection that meets all these objectives:

1) Fun and challenging to assemble
2) Interesting to look at
3) Within the budget (whatever that might be)
4) Relatively easy to sell if necessary

Focus is certainly key to pulling this off.

Hope you are able to accomplish your goals in your photography and travel!

We share the same hobbies. I am having to make a tough decision on which coins to sell for my upgrade to a Sony A900. It's a beautiful camera and I really like my coins so it is going to be difficult.
