Hi all, I couldn't wait to get home and share the newest addition to my collection that I purchased this afternoon at my local coin shop. Feel free to grade and let me know what price this grade would usually sell for. I will post what I paid if I am not too embarrassed. For all that have purchased some of my recent listings (silver certs and misc coins) you did this for me, so thank you for getting me a good start on my album. The obverse photo is a little blurry, may retake when the sun is shining a bit brighter. Ken Edited by MINT_MARQ 03/30/2010 2:40 pm

Here's a modified view of Mint Marq,s coin. I'd give it an EF-45, and value is dependent upon variety. Here's a link to help with attribution. There are 14 varieties of the 1832 Half Dime, and some are rarer than others. This appears to be LM-5, an R-1 (very common) so if you go by the numismedia list, an NGC slabbed specimen would be worth 180.00, but this is raw, and I would guess in the neighborhood of $125.00 to perhaps $135.00. http://rob.com/russ/collection/Chance

I saw it as Extra Fine (Ear,Hair and brow distinct), which is also what the coin shop graded it at. Of course I am no expert. Since I buy there often, they gave me a discounted price just below what Chance's raw estimate is. I knew I did not make a killing, but it is nice to know I didn't overpay also. She looks fantastic in the Half Dime section, just a little lonely

Very nice coin, I'd grade it at EF-40.

Very nice example. How far along with your 7070 are you?

I agree with chancelor, XF-45. Nice original looking coin and a great buy imo! Congrats!

I know this is an ancient topic, but I took some "better" pictures. Plus it is my favorite coin so far...So I will seize every opportunity to share it again
