This is a picture of the coin a customer of mine brought in to the shop this week. He said he found it in a roll of pennies he was searching.

that coin makes no visual sense to me. If it were hammered/pressed alone, the relief on the obv side would be different. And, unless the maker cut the rim off another penny and then squeezed it onto this penny, the rim of this penny would be mashed.

It's early am. Maybe I'll get it later on.

The mirror image of the rev on the OBVERSE, along with the damaged flattened legend on the Reverse dictates that this is a home made squeeze job....IMO

the rim is smashed a little bit on the edge, look at 7:00 to 3:00
