I see what you're talking about, but without a clearer image of it it's hard to say what might have caused it and whether this type of error would add any to the value.

If you have a scanner, you can place the coin on the glass, then take a blank sheet of printer paper to over it, and run a scan of it that way.

Have found one similar to yours. Guess the term is Dryer Coin, I assumed it had been "spooned". Darn, 42D is one I need for my book... :)
