I understand that by joining the NGC Collectors Club for $39.95 per year I will be eligible to have 3 coins a year graded and slabbed by NGC for free. I would like to have some Morgans graded but I think one or more are worth over $500 and it says coins up to $500 in value. Is this club worth joining? I know my slabbed coins would probably increase in value. What other benefits are there in joining. Since they charge $16 a coin normally its not a big savings. I could use some help from someone explaining this a little better.

Thanks in advance for your anticipated help.

The 500 dollar thing is just the insured value of the coin that you sent them.If it grades high and book value says 800 dollars that is fine. They just don't want you sending a 5000 coin and getting it graded for a 500 dollar rate.

I joined NGC some months back for the $39 deal, but I got no coins sent in for free.
The only thing I like about their site is their shipping/order forms are super easy to use and print out. I joined for ease-of-paper-work mainly. As I have stated on another string, I am still boggled on their certification prices. Makes no "cents"!

I agree, for 40.00 a year you get nothing but send in privileges
