This coin was in the lot I just received. There is only marginal remnants of a date remaining of the last digit, though the rest of the detail is pretty decent. It looks like a 17-d, but I'm not totally sure. Opinions?

It looks like there's a 7 at the end of the date but it's not the right font. I'm actually seeing a 20 for the last 2 digits (1920). It would be helpful if you could post a few more pictures taken from different angles.

That is what is so tough about these lots, our minds want to see certain things when we find no date D and S mint coins. I can see the elements of a 7 there, and it looks to be in the correct place. Have you lined it up with another 17 type 2? I often do that when trying to decipher a weak almost non-existent date on a coin, just to be sure the size, font, and locations are right. I sort of hold a legible one over the top of the unknown or vice versa, comparing via magnification to get the best read possible.

More photos would help here, especially a photo of a known '17 type 2 along with this one. The rest of the coin is in very good shape....congrats.
