Hi all, I have some lincoln cents of the same dates. My question is which to place in my Dansco album ? One of them is yellow in colour and the other is brown, but the problem is that the brown one show a little more details than the yellow one. what should I take more in consideration, the colour or the details? Thanks

Which one looks better to you? That's the one to put in your album.

I agree as well. It really depends on what makes you happy. But you asked for an opinion, so I am going to give it. If I were choosing between these two for my album, I believe it would be the one on the left. It has a certain character to it. Of course, I would never make that decision based on a photograph, so I reserve the right to change my mind if I ever see these two in hand.

The guys are right, pick the one you like the look of best. Just to illustrate why it is important to choose the one YOU like, I'd go the opposite of JBuck. I like the look of the one on the right. I like it's color and details better, plus it matches the coins in my album better

i would also want to choose the one on the right. the white part of the coin on the left bothers me. the one on the left looks more natural

I like the one on the left. They are close enough in grade and this is an inexpensive coin....it really doesn't matter. Go for the one that pleases you.

I say the one of the right. It looks "fuller" and more brown to me. It shows a lot more detail, for example, in the hair.

Most of you agree that as long as the coins have the same degree of details or nearly similar degrees, then its a matter of personal preference or one can say that I should select the coin with more eye appeal " to my eyes offcoarse ". Thank you all very much

It is all in the eye of the beholder...........I like the one on the right as to me that is the more natural color of the two but that is just my opinion and you know what they say about an opinion..........

Id choose the one on the right, too...particularly because most LWCs brown naturally like it.
Even with the better strike, the one on the left makes me nervous.
I also suspect that, if we see the reverse, the two coins may grade differently.

Even if the coins do grade differently, I think you should go with the coin that looks better to you. You're the one who is going to be looking at it--so you should be looking at the one you'll like the best.
