Got this in some change last night and it just didn't "look right". I have since compared it to many other dimes, including the same year from mint sets.

On all other dimes I've looked at the AM are touching, the gap between the M and E seem closer, as well as the gap between the C and A.

Any thoughts?

Always remember to compare devices with the same year of coins. Some reverses change sometimes even from year to year, others last for several. So the best tip is compare with the same date of coins. IE the Close AM and Wide A M cents have certain years where they are normal. Some where they are not. Some are used for proof coins, some years not. IE 1993 Cents Proof and business strikes have the same Close AM. Other years the Wide AM proofs should be the norm. But we need to check to see what is common and what is different for each year/style for the design.
