It may be due to the fact that San Fransisco Walkers are usually poorly struck, and the toning and scans can make he coin look much different than it does in hand.
What grade would you give it?

this coin has a poor strike, what details are there are somewhat masked by all the color. It is an original old thick style holder. And impossible to tell from the scan weather or not the coin is worthy of MS66 or lower, certainly not circulated though.

Sure you can - skip the mortgage this month. Besides, that may help you qualify for a lower rate loan if the bank worries that you'll default!

Quote: its just the fact that the sticker is ripped off worries me unfortunately you will see this allot with these older slabs because dealers sometimes will place stickers on the slab with a inventory number on them and when those are removed it will take the old NGC label on the back of the slab with it. This is a legit slab and in my opinion is accurately graded. I am not sure how you can say this isn't a 66 and then you say this one is at least a 65 https://goccf.com/t/62750 . The grading standard should not change just because of who owns the coin

One of these days the wrong person with the right lawyer will read one of his posts and he'll be signing for some mail.

The missing hologram sticker on the slab is only an indication that it went through an auction at some point in it's life. Lot number stickers and notes that were taped to the old NGC slabs resulted in the hologram coming off when the tape or note were removed. The only thing alarming about that is that NGC didn't do a very good job of buying hologram stickers.

on the morgan, I didnt realize the feathers were worn down that much, I just saw on the obverse that it had a real good shot at MS-65

Well if it had no reserve, someone could have gotten that coin for a good price no matter what.

laafa123 In my opinion according to YOUR link it's a NGC4 label. If you read the description it says they came in green or brown borders. You ought to look at and read your links before you use them to back your statements.
