To me the obverse is great and I bet the luster cartwheels like crazy under the toning. The reverse is another story. Very unattractive and I suspect it is hiding the details or the coin suffers from a weak strike.

Cert# 131383-005, have to be member to check cert. It is a genuine slab-older generation.

Many of the older slabs are in that condition. The slab is definitely genuine and I think the coin is somewhat attractive.

The 1944-D Merc, just a different color label on the back of the slab, but still genuine.

Why do you think that? Grading usually cannot be done accurately from a picture, especially from a bad scan. I think in hand it would be able to merit MS-66, or somewhere close to that.

look at the feathers on the far wing, they are worn smooth, same with some of the top feathers on the close wing. the breast feathers are pretty worn down too.
