Hi everyone, I'm pretty new to coin collecting, but don't know all too much about paper money. I wanted to run this by everyone. Is this $2 bill worth holding onto? It looks pretty good, and has a fairly cool number? I also have another $2 bill that looks exactly the same but it is from 1953, the problem is there is a few numbers hand written on the obverse. Anyway, any info you can give me would be great.

Thanks

Good keeper for me. You'll never see one in circulation again, most likely.

i'd keep it too. In fact, my dad gave me a $2 Canadian bill that has the name Vera written on it with a phone number, lol. I'm keeping that to make me laugh.

lol, Libertad, did you ever try calling Vera? Thanks for your advise. I'll hang onto this and the one with writing on it for a while then. Are regular 1976 $2 bills with no significant number patterns on them worth keeping? I have 10 or 12 of them too. Should I hang onto them or spend them?

I'd hang onto that one. I've yet to find a 1963 in circulation.

No reason to keep circulated examples, they can still be easily obtained from banks. I would keep CU examples though as they are getting tougher to find for face value but they still do not have much of a premium. Also, any red seal in decent condition is a keeper

Yes because it is a red seal.

I keep all red seals I find. Its not common to find them. I've gone through about 3,500 $2's and found probably a dozen of them.
