Hi everyone, I hear a lot of collectors on here say that they put there coins, binders and books in Ziplock to avoid moisture and air. I'm sure it's been looked into, but does Ziplock contain PVC? Also, If I'm putting my coins into 2X2's and putting them into plastic sheets that are PVC free, does it matter much what the binders are made of that I'm putting the sheets into? Are there binder brands I should look into?

Thanks everyone.

Thank you Badthad, does the same go for some of the other ziplock products like the snap close containers?

Yes. They are perfectly safe, and it does not matter what kind of binder the pages go in to.

Ziploc bags are made of polypropelene, sometimes abbreviated as PP on recycle symbols. Generally considered safe for coins.

WHEW! I am planning on putting a few of my extremely rare action figures in Ziplock plastic bags. Glad they don't have anything bad in them. - coincrazed

Just Carl actually contacted the manufacturer to confirm that there is no PVC in Ziploc brand products.
