Pretty heavy cleaning on the second one - by the parallel scrub marks. The cleaner didn't pay much attention to the date.

Do the new pictures still look like it could be counterfeit?

to me, definitely, the date does not look right, mostly because of the black areas look like solder marks and the digits are different heights. JMHO

i wonder what others think...

The date in the last picture looks much closer to me. Sections of the numbers in the first picture seemed hidden which made the date look crooked, but the new pictures look pretty close; so it appear that I may have been wrong(thank God). I'm not saying for sure it is genuine, just that it doesn't appear counterfeit to me anymore. Thanks for posting the latest shot as a good picture can mean all the difference in the world.
