Looking to complete my small cent collection and the only ones I need are 1922,1923 and 1925 pre 1965.. What do you guys think about this coin. Charlton lists it as $30 if it is VF20...

Sorry, I dont think its a VF....not enough detail along the band of the crown...just my opinion.
Id give it a F.
Whats that red/green to the left of the maple leaves on the reverse?

I wouldn't get too caught up in the band detail on those as I rarely see one that's very well struck. As Dollar pointed out there's a lot of other stuff on that coin that lowers it in terms of eye appeal.

There's a pair of AU 50's listed and if you look close the bands on those are not exactly great either.

Anyhow, in that dollar ballpark of 35 or less I like item 350326784152 despite it being TPG and not a great pic but I enhanced it up and it has a nice rim and decent details to go with that dark toning. What worries me about that listing is he has 2 available and I don't know if he'll ship what's pictured or it will just be some other ICCS bagged VF30.

snek, personally I'd pass on it. The streaky obverse and spot of green gunk may be acceptable to some, but
for the same price you can do better with some patience.

Thanks for the opinions. I think I will end up passing on it, the green keeps sticking out more as I look at it! lol
