I had the same thought regarding the Cud reverse. I have a feeling that it probably isn't, though.

A die break/crack is not an error (can't see if there is one on this coin). The rest of of what is going on with that coin looks like post mint damage to me.

Don't know why my text didn't come up but oh well. I must be slow today because a die break would have raised the metal up not smash it down (wouldn't it?) Anyways, I appreciate the input and hope to get more. Thanks, Brent

Yes, you'd expect a Cud to be raised, not depressed.

I'm not experienced enough to comment on the cause of damage, but I have a question regarding the reverse - Does the "break" go up and around the A in states? Or is that just an illusion looking like part of the A?
