Just wondering what kind of results you guys have had penny roll searching. I just started recently, 50$ of rolled pennies and nothing pre 1955 CAN a handful of US wheats which have been better the my Canadian finds, likely due to only being 1.5 hours from the border...!

I had someone pick me a box of dimes, nickles and pennies today. I opened the dimes and received three silver dimes and 40 US dimes ( darn dollar is too high lol). I have started sorting through the pennies and I hit one roll that was an all MS (1964) roll of reds with carbon spots and a really beat up Indian head in another. I got a few errors so far but nothing to write home about. Haven't opened the nickles yet.

I'm finding it amusing, but not seeing any huge wins so far.I asked for a couple boxes of 25 cent pieces for next week and have been assured they'll be there... shrug. We'll see. I think the sample size needs to be large. I'll try two boxes of quarters and if I get anything at all I'll order 4 at a time and cycle through them. Why order? We're a small town. The very largest merchants ship money to the city via armored truck and the smaller merchants wouldn't use 4 boxes of quarters a month between them.

Well, the longer that everyday stuff is "worth" more, the less you'll see of coins, ever, because of the diminishing power of the dollar. Banks would LOVE to see the end of fiat banking and the start universal electronic banking.

I searched some hundreds of pennies recently, found a 1954, nothing scarce. Some 50s, lots of 46s, various 60s.

Then today I searched some American. Found a 1982 no-mintmark: AU-ish, lustrous. Nothing special, though, some copper, plus 4 wheats.

I went through a box of nickles last night and the best thing I found was a dime. The oldest I've found in the three nickle boxes I've gone though was a great condition 1960 nickle. There must be older out there, but considering they have corners instead of a round edge they stick out like a sore thumb, and might be interesting to even non collectors :(
