The sister of Aladin's coin from Denver. Her life wasn't as sheltered, either.

In hand, does not look cleaned. Can't see (with loupe) what the camera is capturing in right field of obverse.

I'm going to say VF-25, though there might be enough detail on the eagles feathers to bring it up to VF-30.

in the photo, it looks to me like it was dipped in something harsh.

I like EF40 obverse, VF30 reverse = VF35 overall.

Correct, but in hand it doesn't have that look. I've got some learning to do with the camera.
Rest in Peace

I agree with Moe, VF-30/35.

Seeing as how I too have photography issues, I'd bet that the obverse has some toning to it. Still looks like a solid VF coin to me. Notice the look of a circle around the mintmark? It caught my eye - just looked perfectly round and all.

Nice pics, and solid VF. The photo definitely portrays it as original, I see no evidence of a cleaning.

So, how about posting some pictures of those SLQ's?

I've got it at VF35, but wouldn't quibble with VF30, either. afcop, it is starting to tone a brownish color...there are patches of it in the fields. Between the "L" and "I" in liberty is a patch that shows in the photo.

Wheatguy, the SLQ's are in 2x2's. I might pop them out and shoot some pics sometime soon, but my collection of them is quite modest.
