My 1919 arrived Saturday, here are couple of pics, I'm still learning on the picture taking. I paid $45 for the coin.

Thoughts?

It does look more like an EF-40 now with the closer pictures. Hard to tell about the cleaning, but that looks like a possibility. Still a very nice coin! Congrats!

I've studied the coin and don't think it was cleaned, the marks all over it are pretty much in line with what I see on other circulated SLQ's. I know the top photo makes it look that way, but its more the lighting than anything in that one. BUT - I could be wrong, just ask my wife.

Rest in Peace

It is more the color, as an original XF should be a bit more crusty and toned imo. But if there aren't cleaning indications, it may just have been dipped at one point which often is considered market acceptable and would make it into a problem free slab. Your top 2 pictures are really good....looking better. Anyways, I'd love to have it in my collection as I still need that coin! I have a vg 19-s on the way though..

thanks everyone. The whole picture thing eludes me....lighting, angles, etc.

Johnny - can't wait to see the 19-s. Those are going at premium prices everytime I follow one that is above G4. I'd love to land a VG-XF 19-s. Soon....soon - as I'm selling another couple of 40% rolls of halves.
