Picked this up for $6 last week. The "0" is the only part of the date that is legible in hand or this poor pic, but under magnified observation right side of the 2 can be seen. Plus, the numbering style is different than that of a 1930, so I'm sure of the date.

My thought at the time was its at least a G4/G6, so $6 was a steal and I needed it for my set.

Your thoughts? Grades?

You got a pic of the reverse?

I'd give it anywhere from VG10 to possibly an F15. But there are those who'd disagree and give it a lower grade because of the wear on the date.

Regardless, looks like a good purchase.

I can't really see the "0" except for a little mark in the center...but I'm sure it's more evident in hand. Any identifiable pre 25 slq is worth a premium, so good buy! I think I agree with G-4 overall, though the obverse design still has a lot more detail.

From our US Coin Facts page on this Fourm:

Standing Liberty Quarter General Grading Standards

G4 Good - Date and lettering readable. Top of date worn. Liberty's right leg and toes worn off. Left leg and drapery lines show much wear.
VG8 Very Good - Distinct date. Toes show faintly. Drapery lines visible above her left leg.
F12 Fine - High curve of right leg flat from thigh to ankle. Left leg shows only slight wear. Drapery lines over right thigh can be seen only at sides of leg.
VF20 Very Fine - Garment line across right leg will be worn but show at sides.
EF40 Extremely Fine - Flattened only at high spots. Her toes are sharp. Drapery lines across right leg are evident.
AU50 About Uncirculated - Slight trace of wear on head, knee cap, shield's center, and the highest point on the eagle's body.
MS60 Uncirculated - No trace of wear but can have many contact marks. Surface may be spotted, or luster faded.
MS63 Select Uncirculated - No trace of wear. Light blemishes. Attractive mint luster.

Unfortunately due to the date obscurity, I have to go with AG-3 on this one. It does have close to F details on the obverse.

This is not an AG coin. Those standards regarding date don't apply (at least not to that extent) on Pre-1925 SLQ's, and I'll beat that drum till the day I die.

Since TPGs are all over the map with this kind of coin, it's an AG-3 if I'm buying, a VG-8 if I'm selling, and a G-04 since it is someone elses coin. How bout that for an answer!

Johnny that answer is fine - LOL. Even an AG3 for $6 is fine by me.

I would also give the coin an acetone bath to get rid of the green spots on the reverse. It looks like surface level PVC to me.
