I searched $400 in hand-rolled quarters yesterday, scored 1 '62 Washington. The $500 before that produced zilch. ffd

I agree with you libertad, my last Canadian box had a crazy amount of commemoratives, try 30/50 rolls were solid commemoratives. Got a little boring. I did save the better 1999s and 2000s and better provinces. Not sure I can guess a number but did about 500 Canadian rolls and came up with 4 silvers (all the last 4 years they made silver in Canada)(all diff years, 1965, 1966, 1967, 1968) woulda been wierd if they woulda been in order. I got my beginner's luck with a silver in my first roll and also a silver 1967 dime like new. I quit dimes because I wasn't getting much and the dates are hard to read. Out of those 500 rolls I have 5 solid rolls of USA, no USA Silver though. I think I did about 20 or 30 rolls of Canadian dimes.

Guess I shouldn't be saying this, especially since Wheatguy will raid all my supply and pepper my area with his quarter dumps, but I find some good silver in quarters out here. - coincrazed

I've been searching qtr. rolls more and more in the last few weeks. Last night I found another 1964 Silver. They (silver) are pretty scarce though. My main reason for searching is to find some nice P&D Territories.....because I want to make some coin tubes of each of those.....then of course "upgrade" my P&D State Qtr. folder (built from circulation) as I find nice specimens to do so. I do have a few gnarly ones in the folder....so....it's nice to be able to upgrade on occasion. (Of course the Dansco has all real nice biz strikes in it already! I secured those a long time ago!.. ...I'm just talking about upgrading my P&D " folder") Finding "Silver" or "Foreign coins" while Qtr. roll searching, for me, is just a super nice bonus, because it's neither expected nor the goal for me really. Plus.....I figure whether everybody knows it yet or not.......at some point in the near future, if they're going to want P's and D's of the Parks Qtrs., then they're going to have to get WELL PRACTICED IN QUARTER ROLL SEARCHING ! .... I figure, might as well start now...... Maybe I can pull out what little Silver there is to be had from the "Quarter World" in my community, before the "hoopla" begins like "Half Huntin" !
