I rarely buy anything that's not an in person purchase except for obvious items like collections of mint items etc... so I'm looking for thoughts.

For individual high grade pre 60 coins who is doing a better return in your experience? Heritage or Teletrade? Pros/cons? I notice that Heritage will sell items in their Canuck TPG holders.

I would use Torex or Nuphilex. Being Canadian auctions, and support of Canadian Shows/auctions only makes sense to me.

Until very recently, Teletrade was a good place to look for bargains in Canadian coins. I used to occasionally get PCGS and NGC best ever graded coins for a small fraction of their price at Heritage. Recently, perhaps in the last 6-8 months. Prices for quality Canadian material have gone CRAZY on Teletrade while staying fairly steady at Heritage. I saw a 1955 PL67 PCGS nickel go for OVER $500 on Teletrade recently. It is better now to buy at Heritage and sell on Teletrade in my opinion.

My experience with Teletrade is that they sell unattractive pieces, for the most part. I think that quality-conscious sellers put their coins up on Heritage. There are exceptions both ways of course.

Price-wise I find that you just can't tell. I paid strong money for a key-date 1889 25c on Heritage and scored a 1902 50c in AU58 for less than half of trends, also on Heritage. You just never know.
