I've been trying to pick up a nice one for a good price for a while now - and finally got one. I'm no where near complete, as I need most of the semi-keys still, but am going to a show in Sarasota on Sunday with a couple hundred dollars hoping to get a deal or two.

Anyway - here it is for grading opinions!

I was watching that and if I didn't have my eye on something else you would have had to fight for it.

EF-40, it really is a nice coin. Great crusty SLQ.

Its funny, but when I'm looking now, I think of you and Johnny, hoping you guys aren't bidding against me. LOL. FYI - my next venture will be for plain old 1925/26 and 27 SLQ's in EF or better, hopefully at less than book.

I placed a max bid on this before I left to go to the Rays game - and am surprised I won it to be honest.
Rest in Peace

I agree with wheatguy and think it is solid XF-40. You won't worry about bidding against me as long as you aren't going for a 19-D....GRRR. There is one I have my eye on, and I won't go down without a fight.

That is cool that you are going to a coinshow, and I'm kinda jealous. I live out in the middle of nowhere, and even the closest coin shop is an hour away....which is why I rely so much on the internet. I've only been to one real coin show in Long Beach....

Since your photography is improving, you should get some better shots of that 1921 you found. That is a really important date....and I'm still waiting on the album shots

Thanks - I'm hoping it arrives by Wednesday.

I didn't pick up ONE SINGLE COIN at the show. Prices were too high, and SLQ's were popular, but the 3 or 4 I was looking for just didn't fit the combination of price and grade I wanted. Oh well, there is a small show next week 1 town over. I'll check there.
