So, I won an auction for some Franklin halves (17) in a Dansco album the other day. It showed up and the coins all appear to be about what I expected, but the album itself has separated. The cover portion and the part that holds the pages in are no longer riveted together. The holes on the pages side ripped open.

Also, from the packaging it is pretty clear that it was like this when it shipped, I highly doubt it could have happened during shipment unless it was really close to falling apart already.

Any way to fix this without making it look terrible?

Thanks!

If the pages are still in good shape, I would order a replacement binder.

This is a plain binder (no text) that is the same size:

You can order a replacement from Dansco with the printing on it. I have ordered some from them before.

Good to know, thanks! $7 is much easier to pony out than another $15-20.

In the meantime, I slipped a piece of plastic over the rivet that seems to be holding things together okay for now.
