Hi All,

I recently acquired a wad of Indian cents and this one snowed me. I have no idea what I'm seeing on the reverse (it certainly doesn't look like a "S" sadly). Ideas?

I hate it when fake attempts are half-hearted. Where has the craftmanship gone?

I'm not sure that is an attemp to add the S. To me it looks like some residue of whatever that black gunk is on the wreath. Just so happens that it looks a little like the top of an S.

I thought the same about it being gunk, but it's metal....

If it is an attempt at an S, it's totally wrong for the mm style.
