OK - well, I'd sold some stuff recently, so I had more $$ than normal to play with and won this. Thoughts on grade? What about FH or Full Shield status?

Not in hand yet - hopefully by Saturday, but I'm stoked.

Nice MS-64 from the photos.

Most likely FH, since most Type 1's are very strongly struck and the majority of MS coins have Full Heads.

The lack of luster may be indicative of a cleaning, better pics when it arrives will definitely help.

I wondered about the cleaning too Wheatguy - and had hoped you'd chime in. I didn't pay AU50 price, and was sorta shocked I won it to be honest. When I did, I wondered if I missed something.

There is a return policy - so - if there is something I'm not seeing in the photos and I'm unhappy, it can be undone.

This may be the first coin I ever send in to a TPG if its what it appears to be. We'll see.

Most likely it is either a very light cleaning, since all shield and other details are present.

Definitely seems like a good TPG candidate, unless you plan to keep it for a long time.

Anyways, good luck and very nice coin, hopefully no one has cleaned it.
Rest in Peace

Great details on that one! I'd guess high AU details, quite possibly cleaned, but very very nice!

Don't see any wear to incate AU.
Can't tell about the cleaning.
My guess would be MS-63 or 64
