TD, the reason I don't have it yet is because I don't want to settle on nothing less then top notch for this one, and they get real spunky ;)

That is a true beauty! There's a lot going on in that coin, and a lot being celebrated.

Beautiful coin! Much nicer than mine. I have an XF lightly cleaned in my 7070. You should enjoy that :)

Thank you for the comments guys, I am glad others like this coin as much as I do. By the way just out of curiosity I paid $175 for it was that a good price or was it too much?
Cheers

Bryan,
I like your coin, particularly the original pictures. It looks to be a MS, and would grade at least a 63 if not 64. Since you bought it raw, it's possible that it was dipped or gently cleaned in the past. In the 70s and 80s collectors disdained natural toning on silver coins, and the dealers obliged by dipping all of their AU/BU inventory, so they could sell these shiny 'new' coins at inflated premiums to unsuspecting collectors. Yours is BU since there seems to be no wear on the high points of the design. Glad to know that someone down under collects American commemoratives!
