Hi all very happy at the moment as I finally purchased one of my most desired coins the the other day, the Oregon Trail Memorial. I think this commemorative coin is one of the nicest looking coins around.

Thank you for the comments very much appreciated. The coin looks pretty sweet in hand but I was wondering what grade do you think this coin might be?

Bryan,

It could go anywhere from AU-55 to MS-64. It's impossible to tell any more from those pictures. You can determine if it's AU or UNC by looking at the high points of the design (Chief's right hand and right thigh). If there is still "frost" at those points and not a visible rub, then the coin would be Uncirculated.

Hmm, my first thought was: It could be anywhere between AU58 to MS62, but I think perhaps you are right.

Again, I agree. We would need several more pictures, from various angles, and quite close up to be able to give a more specific grade for it.

However, that is a lovely coin! Very, very nice.

Really one of the classics. Every collector should have one, imo.
