Just got in this 1803 cent and it's a quite welcome addition to my growing collection. It's a small date/large fraction beauty which obviously has had some obverse cleaning. Could I get some help on grading please? I'm thinking F-12 or a bit better.

Thanks!

Well let's see:

Draped Bust Large Cent General Grading Standards

AG3 About Good - Clear enough to identify.

G4 Good - Lettering worn, but clear; date clear. Bust lacks details.

VG8 Very Good - Drapery partly visible. Less wear in date and lettering.

F12 Fine - Hair over brow is smooth, some detail showing in other parts of hair.

VF20 Very Fine - Hairlines slightly worn. Hair over brow better defined.

EF40 Extremely Fine - Hair above forehead and left eye outlined and detailed. Only slight wear on olive leaves.

I give it at least F-12 per the above guidelines. Working towards VF, I see the hair above the brow a bit more than slightly worn. So I give you a nice F-15.

A VERY nice Draped Bust Large Cent! Just a touch of corrosion with nice detail.

I would say Fine Details with corrosion and cleaning.
