I try to find a reference that talk about the edge of pillar 8 reales. I only know for some of them, the edge is pre-striked. Initially I thought that applies to early issues (before 1762) but it seems that is not the case. So is there any definite year range for 8 reales pillar coin whose edge are added before the surface strike?

For example, here is a 1769 pillar 8 reales currently on ebay. Is the edge correct?
