Looks like silver, 11.7 grams, 28 mm. Any help will be appreciated.

This one isn't a coin, it's a Hindu "temple token". It probably isn't solid silver; a brassy colour seems to be showing through on the high points. They crop up here on the forum from time to time. See coin #1 in this thread and this page on zeno.ru
