Anyone want to give it a try for fun? Guess the grade of this nice SLQ.

Yes, the coin looks much better in hand, as with many of the coins that are victims of my photography.

Very attractive, original coin which I think makes VF-20 or even VF-25. The weak dates on the pre-1925 coins usually complicate grading. This coin has a pretty well-defined date and I'd peg both the detail and the value above the Fine level. So, market grade of at least VF-20!

I was thinking VF too initially and almost wrote that down. What holds me back though is the definition in the right side of the shield. I'd expect it to be more complete for VF, but I think I'm a little stricter on pre-25 slqs on average than most....

Thanks for the opinions everyone. It is a solid VF-20 in my opinion, so I'll have to agree with Jaobler. The date is even stronger in hand and the shield beads being pretty strong leads me to that conclusion.

Wheat I'd agree with VF20. Its a fine specimen, and much like Johnny's 1919D, a tough find. Unfortunately, 19D and 20D are both dates which I need. So, I'll likely be selling more silver soon to fund those purchases. Thank goodness for customer wrapped halves panning out fairly well.
