This 1918 3d has a Government Arrow countermark which I've not seen on a coin before.
Does anyone know why it was marked?

Lots of British small silver coins, mainly 3 pence, 6 pence, 1 shilling had designs or marks hammered, struck, or etched onto them, whether for fun or for love or as mementos.

I don't think there's any other significance.

Unless they are rare dates, there's no numismatic value, so value them at bullion.
