Not too bad, in my opinion. They could have been had for around $5 each, though. It is extremely tempting to buy some, but I'm pretty sure the results won't be good.

I did hope that you bought a 1916 SLQ to complete your set when I clicked on the thread, though.

If you paid $7.25 each, then probably not so great. The 26 S is the only one that isn't a common date. I've clicked on that ebay auction before......but didn't trust it. You can often find lots of SLQ's in these years that end up selling for $3-5 apiece.

Now - those aren't total dogs or anything, and if they are simply hole fillers for now, they work great.
Rest in Peace

Yeah, not really the best deal; but I'm sure it was fun "rolling the dice". I'm usually skeptical regarding "unsearched lots"; but the massive amount of keys found in the $10 face lots by "goldnsilver" and some of his alternate user names have proven to be quite extrordinary. I honestly think you would have the best luck going for one of those, especially if you can read between the lines to detect some of the hidden keys...

I thought I would post my results and let everyone see what to do it the future... I'm not unhappy but the auction ad did say most of the coins would be earler ones... Hmmm... I don't see those... Makes one wonder!

$7.25 each is a little steep. I don't bite on any GRANDMA'S HUGE UNSEARCHED GOLD AND SILVER STASH!11 auctions. Give me a pic of the actual coins being offered or tell me how much face value I'm getting in silver.
