I found this 1984 Dominican Republic Medio Peso while roll searching halfs this afternoon.

What would be the metal content of this coin (any silver or numismatic value?)) and what would be the value versus the US Dollar.

I'd like to know if this coin is worth holding on to or just get rid of it.

Thanks for any help.

I don't have any books on me, but it's nickel and not silver. All the Dominican Republic coins from that time had the same size as US coins.

Currently a dollar is around 40 pesos, so don't expect much face value from it. Better I guess to just pass it off in another roll.

Yes, it's exactly not silver. It's nickel.
