Alright, folks... =)

I'm kinda interested to see what you all have to say! When I spotted this one, my heart skipped - it's probably the gem of the dimes (not like gem proof - but probably my favorite at least!) in the collection.

Anyway, it's neat (to me) - from the pcgs photograde, it looks like it could be xf - though I'm not sure what the stain does to it...

Well - excited to see what you all think. Certainly not perfect, but a pretty coin (to me!) :D

Cheers!

I think it's a nice looking coin! Sorry, I'm not sure about the grade. I don't have much experience with Barber dimes.

The color on the reverse suggests to me that this coin sat for a period of time with the obverse down and with another coin overlapping it. Those areas were protected and the exposed area toned.

It has a good shot at EF45. I don't see any remaining luster for AU. Very nice, problem free Barber.

Thanks, SeatedNut!

You're right, cwb - I was trying to remember if that's how I found it or if it was on the end of a roll with only some paper touching town... As I recall, when I found it, it was in a cigar tube, so I'm afraid my knowledge of the toning and history beyond that is limited. I'm wracking my memory...

Excellent find! Yeah, the reverse toning is a bit dark, but it's not overly distracting. XF/AU.

XF45.

Nice liberty band present. All kernels in the corn present and the leaves on the reverse have good detail. I'd be happy to have one like that in my collection.

Thats a pretty rare coin, I'd say AU details, maybe some problems based on the color. Awesome coin though, probably worth north of $200

Yessir! I'm not too fussed over the value, but it is exciting to know I have something somewhat rare to tend to in the collection. =) It's exciting for me to find pieces like this...
