I'm new to this website, but after glancing a few posts it looks like people here really know a lot about coins. I apologize if this isn't in the right forum, but I couldn't find an Asian coin forum here.

I have a friend in China who has a few old coins from the Qing Dynasty, and she's looking to sell them. I have pictures of a few of them and was wondering if anyone could tell me if they're worth anything, and if so, how much.
Thank you in advance.

The Qianlong and Kangxi coins are extremely common, and was minted in such great quantities that these are only about a dollar each. These are from different mints. The first Kangxi one is from Shandong. As for the other ones, I wonder if one of our members here, Sap, might tell you what mints they are from.

As for the Shunzhi one, it is worth a bit more, so I would venture to guess around $3-5. Most younger Chinese cash coins, because they were minted in such great quantities, aren't worth very much, even if they're 300-400 years old.

Anyways, to the forums!

I agree with wd1040; they all appear to be common types, worth a dollar or two at most.

#1: Shandong province, as wd1040 said.

#2: Board of Revenue mint, Beijing.

#3: I assume the reverse is actually blank?

#4: Wuchang mint, Hubei Province.

#5: Hangzhou (Hangchow) mint, Zhejiang (Chekiang) Province.

Thank you both for your help. She says she has some other coins too, so I might be back. I don't expect them to be much different, but apparently a few are from a different era.
