Brucec,
I am rated at 80% but have an appeal in for the last 4 years; I have the Disabled Veteran: US Armed Forces license plates that afford me parking in the reserved for disabled parking spaces; but don't always use it. On days that I do I look normal, and get lots of sideways glances from people, but each step I take is excruciatingly (sp?) painful. My feet have been destroyed by jungle rot and agent organge nerve damage; its like having open raw nerves from my ankels down (peripharil nueropathy) being able to save some steps is very nice; still I try to leave those spots open for those in worse shape than me; wheelchairs, etc.
It gauls me to no end to see a perfectly able person pull into those spaces without the proper tags, hanger; even more when someone pulls into one, reaches under the seat and brings out a "handicapped" card to hang on the rear view mirror and then able scampers about gathering groceries, when the come out the card goes back under the seat!
