I have bought both of the above but am considering picking up more, maybe of each, maybe of one; can't decide. I am a Disabled Vet and also an Eagle Scout (1955) and like both of the coins. In your opinions, which might become more highly sought after than the other, thereby making it a better investment? Disabled Vet or Boy Scout.

I think in the long run, the Boy Scout commem will be more popular and more valuable due to the numbers involved in scouting vs the number of coins available. It seems like a coin that will be passed down from fathers to sons entering scouting(I already am planning to do that) and given away as scouting prizes/rewards. I would imagine that alot of former scouts are not aware of this commem yet and that gives it some upward potential. I do not think that it will turn into the next Buffalo or anything like that but I could see it being worth 1.5-2x issue price in the next few years. If you are going to purchase any more, you might want to place an order soon because the Uncs are sold out and there are about 15,000 proofs left.

Well did not get either yet? I am a 100% PT/SC Disabled Decorated Vietnam Vet for years now. Guess I should get one and was a Boy Scout Master for Troop 301 for 12 years when my son was growing up.
I was a cub scout, boy Scout and Marine well still a Marine :) Once a Marine always a Marine
Anyway I did not get these yet the MINT is making a MINT off me for years now getting tired of payng them so much profit but guess if I want these better make the mind up soon.

Speaking about disabled people when you look at someone and they look fine believe me they may not be so do not be so quick to judge people that park in that disabled spot you never know what they have been through in this life.
One of the hardest things about being disabled is when people can't tell you are disabled will not go into what is wrong with me but I am very disabled and you would never know it by looking at me so just had to post this for disabled people do not judge anyone till you have walked in their boots for a year or two.

"Judge Not, Lest Ye Be Judged"
Thank you all for your military service to your country.....it's a priceless debt that can never be repaid.....especially for those who never came back.
As far as the difference between the two Commem's., I agree with Bio, rightly or wrongly, it (Boy Scout Commem.) will have the staying power for a long long time for those reasons.

I respectfully disagree, I believe there are many, many service men/women who have no clue that this Disabled Vets commemorative exists.
I also feel the BSC will do well, but the Disabled Vet Commemorative, IMO, will be received just as well as the BSC, if not more so, just my opinion......Mike

I ordered and received one of the Disabled Vet coins as soon as it was available. Didn't order on of the BSA coins and will regret it later. The US Mint has a lot of my spare cash also. LOL
